DRAFT versions of the revised 2018-2019 School Calendar and the proposed 2019-2020 School Calendar are now available. Pending Board of Education approval, these calendars now include inclement weather makeup days taken from Spring Break rather than being added on to the end of the school year. Inclement weather days that occur after March 14, 2019 will be made up during the 2019 Spring Break. Specific makeup dates are listed on the lower right of the 2018-2019 calendar. Inclement weather days that occur after February 16, 2020 will be made up during the 2020 Spring Break. Specific makeup dates are listed on the lower right of the 2019-2020 calendar.

If you are interested in borrowing a math book over the summer, they'll be available starting Thursday, July 5th. All books must be returned by Friday, August 17th. Books will be available for sign-out between the hours of 8:00am-3:00pm Monday through Thursday. Please contact Mrs. Lackey in the main office with any questions.
8th GRADE GRADUATION REMINDERS
1) Graduation ceremony will be on Wednesday, June 20th, at Cherry Hill East, DiBart Gymnasium at 2:15pm.
2) Students should meet in the East Auditorium at 1:30pm. Doors will be open for
students at 1:15pm.
3) Students will be seated with their Learning Community. When facing the stage,
LC 6 will be on the left and LC 7 will be on the right.
4) There will be a handicapped area on each side of the gym. No tickets or reserved seats.

The 2018 Summer Reading titles and assignments for rising 6th through 12th graders are now available online.
Dr. Meloche has issued an important letter regarding the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment for Science (NJSLA-S) field test, to be administered to 5th, 8th and 11th grade students in May. This assessment replaces the NJASK Sciene and NJ Biology Competency Test (NJBCT) administered in previous years. This letter details the process required for refusing the test. Refusals must be received by building principals by Friday, May 4, 2018.

Registration for CHPS School-Age Child Care (SACC) and Extended Day Child Care (EDCC) for the 2018-2019 school year is now open. Parents may register their children now online.
The Learning Community (LC) 3 trip to Mt. Misery is still scheduled to take place 3/20 (8:45am drop off) and students will be returning on 3/23 (11am pickup). Please make sure students have the proper attire and footwear for conditions that they will experience over the course of the next four days. The 2018-2019 High School Course Selection Booklet for both high schools East and West is available online. The booklet also is available in the school libraries, and in the offices of school guidance counselors, principals and assistant principals. Also available online is the High School Course of Study Presentation, presented in January to parents of 8th graders.

Congratulations to Rosa's Art and Literary Magazine for winning second place in the nation for middle school art and literary magazines for the 2016-2017 school year from the American Scholastic Press Association. The American Scholastic Press Association award is the most coveted honor for school publications in the country. Congrats to all student writers, artists and staff members of Art and Literary on your achievement. We hope even more students will share your talents for our 2017-2018 issue. This year, the district has decided that all Cherry Hill schools will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge. During the week of January 22-26, 2018 students will be completing a checklist of kind acts. Each student will also be creating personalized "Thank You" cards to give to our local first responders, e.g. police, fire, EMS etc. Please click here for additional information.
Please be advised that the Mt. Misery parent meeting scheduled for Monday, January 8th has been cancelled and will now be held on Thursday, January 25th at 7pm in the Rosa cafeteria.
To give greater flexibility in scheduling parent/teacher conferences this year, we have made conference schedules available via the internet. **Please note that if you did not receive a letter stating that your child's LC or math teacher are requesting a conference, then you are not able to access our system. The scheduling system will be available from Friday, November 17, 2017 through 4 PM, Friday, December 3, 2017. Appointments are available on a first come, first serve basis. Our scheduling system will allow you to schedule time for a 15-minute conference with your child's learning community and/or math teacher. Please click here to schedule your conference.

Rosa warmly welcomes author Phillip Hoose on October 11th. The PTA-sponsored author visit will showcase Mr. Hoose's book "The Boys Who Challenged Hitler" about a group of teens who helped initiate resistance against the Nazi occupation of Denmark. If your student missed the last day of school, please note that report cards and certificates (if applicable) are available for pick up in the main office Monday – Thursday between the hours of 7:30am-4pm. Anything remaining after August 31st will be disregarded.
